1st gear not stalling out.

Hey guys, well today I noticed that when i'm at a dead stop in 1st gear and let off the clutch fully, but my car is slowly moving. usually the car should stall or die when you let off the clutch in 1st gear without giving it any gas. (correct me if im wrong)
Now I have been noticing that the clutch seems to be slipping a little and dragging but could that be the cause?
I'm going to adjust my clutch rod and see if it makes any difference.

i bought the car used from a dealer with 102k miles and it currently has 106k miles. i do not know if it is the stock clutch or a replacement. The clutch feels like a normal oem clutch.
When i bought it, i've asked if there were any records of the clutch being replaced but they didnt have any.
the car fax didnt show any work done on the clutch or trans or 60k mile maint.

the car is completely stock and has no aftermarket parts. In 4th and 5 th gear if I go wot the rpm does not climb and stays at 3k rpm or right above 3k and there is a slight lag in accel. but the boost gauge shows full boost at 19psi.

I've read that A clutch can be test by downshifting from 5th to 2nd and see if there are any power to the car, so Today I went from 5th gear to third (didnt trust going to 2nd at the time) to see if there was any power to the car and it did however have some power to it but not buy much. The rpm slowly went from 4k to 5k as i went from 40-60mph.

btw, I do have a slight grind in 3rd and sometimes its hard to get into 1st and reverse on cold mornings

i did however replace the under hood shifter bushings with buschur bushings and the base shifter bushings with energy suspension parts.

Yea, That was what I'm thinking. I'm going to try to adjust the clutch rod and see what would happen. If worse comes to worse I will replace the clutch and do a full maintenance on the car. Just need to source out a good aftermarket clutch.

Classic test to see if the clutch is bad: Go WOT in 4th/5th from around 2.5-3k rpm. If the rpm's shoot up but the car doesn't accelerate, the clutch is slipping and needs to be replaced soon.

(Good idea not to do this test too often as the high torque at low rpm isn't great for the bottom end)

Today when I went WOT in 4th/5th at 3k, the RPM didn't shoot up or show any power. It was slowly climbing from 3-3.5k and it went from 40-60mph. Does this indicate any major issues?
I've also been searching for responses on this issue where the RPM doesn't shoot up as fast in higher gears when going WOT and it just slowly rises.
It just seems like my car hesitates to get into the higher RPM range (4k-redline) but I can hear the engine screaming and at Full Boost.

Of course the car won't accelerate very fast from 3k rpm in high gears, that's normal.

But if there's no slippage of the clutch then it doesn't appear to be a worn clutch problem.

Your clutch may possibly not be fully disengaging.

Umm, on flat ground every manual car I've ever driven has been able to get rolling without giving it gas if you were smooth enough letting the clutch out that's not weird

All depends how slow u let it out. Try dropping the clutch fast and see what happens.
