OBD - Evaporative System: Not Ready
OBD - Evaporative System: Not Ready
California Smog - I need all systems marked ready (or non-applicable) in OBD.
Everything is fine - except for evap.
Does anyone know what I need to do to trigger the test so I can get smogged?
I rarely drive the car on the street. And I never run close to a full tank - and am rarely over 1/4 tank. Smog dude said to fill the tank and start the car cold. That alone didn't do the trick.
Thanks!

Have you cleared any cel's latetly? I now I cleared mine before heading to get smogged, and the tech said it was "not ready" and I needed to drive it for a bit (about 30-40 miles) to get it to read.
Sorry about the lack of details.
No engine mods.
I was running a different cat - but am back to OEM now. The cat was causing codes to be thrown -- but just 0420.
No other codes being thrown.
I had cleared recently -- which resulted in many 'Not Ready' systems. I drove a little under 100 miles. Now all systems are ready except for evap.
My understanding is that there is a specific condition that causes the Evap System Test to occur.
Thanks again for the help.
