not worth it, you and your "friend" should look more into power upgrades on the your current engine. For the amount of money youll spend swapping parts, having to find parts that are interchangable, its not feasible. Impossible probably not. But theres many things to consider, for one the x engine trans is flipped reverse of the 8/9 engine, no guarantee your trans will slide in with the input shaft into the crankshaft. Custom piping, youll need a new ecu as the 8/9 ecu may not work, So I mean just for all the parts off the top of my head that youll have to swap to make it work with a stock turbo, your talkin at least 10-15 grand thats if your doing it yoursellf and no one is installing stuff for you. Take others advice that have posted before me, stick with the 4g its proven and with all that extra money you can have a beast DD. No one has done it, because its not necessary. Unless your trying to be a fast and furious fanboy and try to ask retarded questions like this, in which case go back to nissan forums. haha

why not swap a ej25 w/ ej22 heads and a twinscroll exhaust manifold so you can utilize evo X turbo housing with a dccd sti 6 speed but a evo IX rear diff with a quad exhaust

I went from a x back to a 9. All depends on what your looking for man. While I agree 100% with everyone in the thread about the engine swap.... What are you looking for?!?!?

X MR is a great DD if you want an Evo and it a more comfortable ride. Its no where near the raw car that a 8/9 is. It shouldnt even be an Evo lol.

If you want a fast car that is fun to drive and has that raw feeling get the 8/9.

4g63 are stronger motors dude, I've actually heard that x heads are not that strong. My cousin blew his head a couple years ago. But I am curious how this would work out so good luck if you go threw with it.
