Unless you are paying with cash, you are most likely not going to get a loan for 20k for an 03.

I paid 17k for a 03 with 36k that was mint last year

20k is high unless it makes over 500hp or some crazy wheels on it.

for what it's worth,

i just bought a 2003 with a AMS turbo back and a boost gauge, lol with 78k miles on it for $13.300

20k is high - you can pick up a evo 9 for not much more and is a much better car overall.

^Better is subjective...lol.

But I agree with others. I'd negotiate a bit.

do not forget to go to a credit union man - for the typical $10 deposit, credit unions will give you better loan details than a lender, especially on a 2003 model.

i took out a small loan for my 03 with 78k miles on it with 0 money down with a credit union and I am at 4.25%

I still would say that a price for an 03-05 with 40-60k miles should be around $16 - $18k

start talking $20-21, i would look for a 9 in my opinion

I wouldn't say it's a "good deal", but it's not a bad price.. Still try negotiating

I bought an 03 two years ago with 38k on it for $19. Try to get them to come down. If the brakes are fading mention that. Hows the wing clear coat look? Bring that up. Then if all else fails mention the timing belt. Say that it may be under the mileage requirement but it's well past the time interval.

I don't think you will have a problem financing honestly, book value has been holding strong. Check what it is and see though.

Most deffinately thank you guys for the advice, the market is pretty slim out here in socal for the 8/9s. everyone and there X, i like the car but would much rather go with the 9 of all 3 personally. Any thoughts or opinions on the mr vs gsr for the 9?

It is the west coast, most evos are much more expensive here then mid/east coast. It is however a bit high, I would try shooting for 16-17k as being a fair price still not a good deal though. I've been looking for a long time and have not found one to my standards. If your patient and keep looking you can find a clean 9 for 20k.

Not likely that it would have under 60k like this car.

OP, it's a fair price but try to negotiate some. Evos do sell for a lot in CA though.

Closer to 18000 is fair. Got my 03 with 75k miles for 16000 with mods. I wanted to pay less than "private party bad" value.
