Screw the straight line nonsense. If you really want to scare some people, take em on some backroads. Just don't kill yourself in the process.

 

To really give someone a fun ride, you need to take them as a passenger on a track. Straight line is just being pushed into your seat, and I think it really only works on total car virgins who have never driven or gone for a ride in a high-performance car.

Pretty much the only way to do it in any safe manner. Going WOT on the freeway is one thing, taking a passenger into the mountain for twisties is another.

 

My evo is lightly modded and I think what scares my wife the most and makes her scream is the turbo spool + the exhaust makes a whole different sound.

I took my wife out on some back country road and I was only in third gear not even going that fast, my wife screamed probably because of the road being curvy and and staying in the boost the car is loud so it was fun, she liked it. To her it felt like we were going really fast + all these noises, exhaust, bov, spool.

I think if you have crazy amount of HP like the GTR in the video straight line is fine.
Less HP, country road you that you know very well and be really safe about it. If you have a track in the area that's even better since the evo can really show its skill on the track.

I bet you could take that GTR on a nice country road and you would never even have to go too fast for those girls to scream!

 

I'll be content with just 500whp as a first goal. Probably be my last too. I hear anything more then that then the cars not fun anymore.

 

Like most people are saying, it all depends on who the passenger is. But I'm sure 500hp will be enough to get some good reactions for a video

 

Yes... I can freak out my friends with 320 hp,so you could easily make them **** bricks.

 

Get a screamer pipe, it'll scare ur passenger and everyone walking by haha I have the map o2 dump I love it but sometimes I wish my car was quiet

 

Its all about the torque. You could have stock ix turbo spool at 3500rpms and 400tq and make ppl scream more than a car making 500tq at 5500rpms

 

true low end torque def helps, best way is to surprise them when you make your pull out of the blue instead of letting them know before hand. The element of surprise adds 300whp!

 

with the ix turbo at 400tq and 420hp it was lots of fun, than switch to the black and at 500hp its faster but now I just want more because doesn't even feel fast anymore, passengers love it but it gets boring, I tune a lot of LS cars corvettes and Camaro's and drives those everyday so power gets boring, I'll see after the winter if it feels fast again compared to my jeep driving all winter.
