Talking Speed Shot...

Greetings...

Finally had a chance to get to my "secret, private test site" to do some speed runs. Didn't feel like exploring the red zone yet (P2 Flash), so I stopped just short. Speed was a GPS verifed 153mph, which is 2mph short of redline. Car was stable and even comfortable enough to grab camera, focus and shoot. Anyone else?

Cheers,

OS

GPS verification? You have one of those handheld units?

You got ***** man, Dont think I would run 150+ on anything short of a race track. BY the way, extremely clear picture considering the circumstances....

why does it look pitch black outside, you were racing like that at night? Or is it some fancy photochop.

Well, the shot was taken at about 11pm... so it was night. No photoshop here friends... Yes, I have a GPS V hand held that has a perfect home between the ashtray and the shifter. It was made for that spot...

Also did some GTech runs as well...

0-60 5.01 seconds
1/4 mile 13.26 seconds at 104mph

This was at 5,300 ft with outside temp of about 33 degrees.

Anyone know of a good place for sea level correction?

This is by far the best car I have ever driven...

Cheers,

OS

Ohh nice. lucky. I got my doors blown off by one. The old gent with rather thick glasses (kinda of concerning for a 200+ mph car that gets there lickety split) from houston who had his featured in R&T with the Christian fish on the back, was up at Moritz BMW having it serviced.. and I just happened to come across them on the street checking it out.. quite a story behind it. One of the mose memorable moments in my life. The F1 is truly a car no other street car will likely ever come close to. until someone finds a material 1/4 the weight of carbon fiber and twice as strong, and a 1/10th the cost to manufacture.

But nice pic of the high speed run. How long of a stretch of road did you run to take this picture?

Parts and Info...

Thanks for the comments. The current mod list is as follows:

MonsterSport Downpipe
Ralliart Intercooler Pipe Kit
Cusco Suction Piping Kit
Vivid Racing Power Pack 1
5Zigen Exhaust
Perrin Cat Delete
Greddy Profec B2
Greddy Turbo Timer
Greddy Boost and EGT Guages
Works Throttle Body
Works P2 Flash
Works Tuning

Boost level is currently set for 1.0 to 1.45 bar depending on fuel quality. The Greddy Boost Controller has a nifty "lo" and "high" feature, which I really seem to use a great deal.

Boost was hovering aroung 1.35 and 1.42 during the run.

The Works crew did an awesome job helping me out...

Private test course has several 10 mile straights...

Flash = quick blink... no problem!!!

5% speedometer error at that speed is phenominal.

No, I have not driven an F1, and would probably faint if ever given the chance. Money no object dreamcar for sure.

Check Engine Light error is a by-product from the exhaust work. It's an EGR error as verified with the Works crew laptop. No worries...

It definalely has "more" in it, plus with the extra rpm reach that the P2 Flash gives, I'm sure 165 is within reach... via GPS. I might have to make another attempt on my return trip from the Rockies. By the way, you can watch the fuel gauge drop at speed!

Cheers,

OS
