Flex fuel sensor -- where is yours mounted

Not sure how many people have a flex fuel sensor on there car, but I am trying to find a good place to mount mine. I was thinking under the car near the gas tank.

Anyhow if you have pics post them up.

Do you have it on the return or supply side?

I believe most put it on the return line so it will not restrict flow.

Mine is on the return, but you can run on the supply. It is a -6 equivalent.

what does this do? I mean i know it gathers ethanol content, but can you used it with a stock ecu? how would it adjust the values in the ecu?

It gives you the Gasoline to Ethanol ratio of the fuel. So if you where tuned on a certain blend you can adjust your boost / timing/ afr's if you happen to get a really ****ty tank or something. Most people, I believe, would be using a display to give them a readout of what that ratio is. You could hook it up to the ECU for logging purposes, but for the most part the ecu itself wouldnt be able to do anything with the information.

Edit: i was way wrong about the ecu using the data. Apparently there is a patch to give it flexfuel capabilites. I havent read through it yet but here is a link https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...n-evo-ecu.html

I mounted mine the same way on the firewall with -6 an fittings. In addition, these are not recommended to be used on the feed side. They are not meant for fuel pressure.
