Possible Group Buy on a CSL Seibon Trunk

Hey Guys,

So I don't know about everyone on here but I know a bunch of us have always been interested in the carbon fiber Do-Luck trunk. I have been looking around and noticed that the only company to get this trunk is either the Do-Luck trunk or VIS Carbon.

Do-Luck:

VIS Carbon:

Now here is my question to you. Seibon makes this trunk for the EvoX it is called the CSL trunk. They make it for every popular car. Now the reason they do not make it for the Evo 8/9 is because they are not sure they will have the demand. I have been in talks with an Employee at Seibon and they can possibly make this trunk if they have the demand! My question to everyone here is would you be interested? Im talking seriously interested! If you are interested please post a comment and send me a private PM for details!

Here is the trunk that Seibon makes for the EvoX:

Thanks Everyone

In my opinion, they definitely look better on the X's than 8/9's. I thought about getting one for awhile, just cant justify the cost. I didnt think do-luck's had a key hole though

Do-Luck did have a hole just checked the site. and IMO they look sick on the 8/9 especially for the wingless crowd. The price is also the point in this because Seibon is the best quality you can get and they have great pricing. it would be no more than the VIS pricing and you would get a much better quality part.

I disagree.
And if they could designed one of their own I am sure they will get more notice.

I'm not sure I agree with the statement about Seibon quality either. I had the VIS version of this trunk and I thought the quality of it was very good. In contrast, my Seibon hood had several spots where the clear didn't look the best.

The Seibon hoods don't come with clear coat. They come with a resin that has to be cleared over when you get them. I have had my Seibon hood for 4 years and it looks just as new as the day I bought it.

What do you mean haha. The evo has a pretty square body. you have a regular trunk and a trunk with the duck bill lip. what other ways can you make it look good... mold the m3 lip in it? yeah maybe i never liked that look but thats a start.

Also lets be real here. Are you running a heat shield? Do you wax your hood atleast once a month and take care of it? You have to understand how hot the hood gets with the motor. especially on a turbo car. nothing is going to hold up, especially the hood, if you do not maintain it.

seibon/vis and good quality could never ever be in a sentence period... I have the authentic do luck trunk and the quality is beyond what those 2 companies could produce.

I never said anything against DoLuck because we all know the quality of their products.... But Seibon is half the price. The trunk isn't very popular because of the fact that it is 1200$

I don't see people jumping on this because VIS already makes the cheaper version one and VIS and Seibon quality are the same

I mean I understand from a view of the Price, But I have always run Seibon carbon on all my cars and I had 1 VIS product. The VIS carbon products feel cheap and never fit great. In the end to each his own
