Need assistance/ evo viii

Hi guys this is my first post on here, not new to the forums I'm usually on the evo x forums but I'm thinking about getting an evo 8 or 9. I found one that's pretty cheap on Craigslist and the person selling it said it has "minor flaws" but can never be too safe. I don't know much about the 8s or 9s and was wondering if you guys can help me out, thanks to anyone who replies http://http://boston.craigslist.org/...368851220.html

Link didn't work on my phone.

How serious are you about buying and do you already own a X?

Seems like very minor flaws and easy fixes. I'd still take it to a reputable mechanic and ask for a buyers inspection.

yeah i would be very careful with this, something seems weird to me but im always paranoid with things like this. Evo AK has good advice, but i would take it to a shop that you are familar with and knows who you are to give you his best advice

The grinding of 5th gear at high rpm would concern me quite a bit. That's the money shot right there so if you can't floor it in 5th gear on the highway and actually enjoy the car that would be a real issue to me. Might need a clutch or a trans rebuild. Just be ready for one of those two things. Other then that I like the car personally!!!

Make sure its not a salvaged title.
Youll probly have to rebuild the tranny
Obviously reupholster or get a new seat

I pay 100 a month, full coverage but 500$ deductible if something happens.
Also have the wifes legacy on there, hers is like 65$
Have quite a few discounts added in there though.
My last moving violation was back in....sep 2009
