So being stupid showing off for my dad I launched my car back to back then again within probably 5 minutes. Well after that my wheels felt like triangles starting in first gear and we found out why

Well there is some good to this my new turbo just got in so I will be putting a new clutch, turbo, innercooler, and sparktech cop on all at once

I'm not surprised. I'm currently in a debacle with them on a Comp Stage 3.5 that slipped on my 300hp Evo. A clutch that was supposedly good for 530lbtq. They're garbage, so I went back to Exedy like I should have in the first place.

The turbo and fp stainless housing looks nice !!!! Get a good twin disc setup in there and you'll be good to go. I'm sure launching the car was fun until that happened.

Funny you talk about comp clutches. Mine went Friday, picked up my friend decided to do a launch but I slipped the clutch more to avoid drive line shock, either way it did not matter. This clutch had about 18K miles on it stage 4.

How much mileage did you have? Clutches rated for X lb/ft are expected to hold that when they're in good condition I would imagine, not when they're within an inch of their lives... If you had a bunch of launches on it and it was worn down then yea, at some point it won't be able to hold tq anymore...

When it decided to fail, it had 8,000 miles on it and two launches. The funny part, is that I wasn't even launching it when I slipped for good. I was just doing a 2-4 gear pull, and going into third the RPM's just shot through the roof. It was only 6 months old.

I know how to drive it was more just a bad choise on my part. You really shouldn't launch your car 3 times back to back 1st-4th. I wouldn't say the clutch is garbage even with it looking like it did it never slipped. I knew something was wrong because when I would start out in first my wheels felt like triangles, but after I was moving shifting was smooth and it held the power. It might not be as good as an exedy and I would rather have one but $1600 for a clutch after I just paid over $5k for turbo and everything else I didn't have that kind of money so I got the $519 stage 3 again

my exedy twin disc has about 21,xxx on it and is 6 years old, it's been down the 1/4 a handful of times and had it's fair share of launches, still feels as tight and solid as the first day it was installed, don't have a single complaint about this clutch and this is with about 400 whp and 390 wtq since the clutch went in

Comp clutch SUCKS...I've had a twin, stage 4, stage 3 ceramic disc, and 2100 street disc all with shifting issues in a DSM.
