Oil puddle on top and under intake manifold

Hello evom, my Evo recently started smoking oil after hard runs. I noticed after popping the hood that there is a puddle of oil on top and under the intake manifold.
Pcv valve is not leaking.
Dip stick is not leaking and is spring loaded.

Is there anything between the firewall and block that has a potential of oil leaks?
Does the intake manifold run oil inside it?
Is there any oil lines I should check?

Any comments, suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Check the hose connected to the pcv valve for hairline cracks? Pictures?

Replace your valve cover gasket. Check your oil cap for leaks.

its def not my oil cap. nor valve cover. oil is collecting under the manifold more so than above.
turbo lines are ok. gauge lines are good. i cant think of anything else that has oil running between the motor and firewall

It's a mitsu, oil leaks are just the factory rest inhibitor.

But seriously it's very likely the valve cover gasket. It's hard to see exactly where it's coming from sometimes but when it's down the block in an area where there's not really any other source of oil it's 90% the valve cover. Get some of the uv dye stuff and rent a light from autozone or the like, that actually works remarkably well to find leaks.

Break clean all of the oil up, let it idle and look at the back of the valve cover/mivec feed for leaks. Maybe need to bring rpm's up to build oil pressure. I had pinched my vc gasket in the back and it had a slow drip and i could not find it until i took the cover off and seen what i did.

DSM problems
hmmmm
thatts good to know. it may be that anything above valve cover may have burnt off on the mani. that does explain the oil on top of mani

its a 8. didnt know 9 had additional feed line for mivec tho. i guess it feeds more oil when mivec kicks in?

Thanks for your input. i will check on the VC gasket after cleaning. maybe wrap a towel around it and see what happens.
i did notice my oil pressure gauge was going wild after the car warmed up. Not sure if its my crappy prosport gauge or the actual car tho. lol
