tuned??????

okay i just got the car bout a month ago its got a full 3" from turbo back no cat and an intake i just put stm clutch fork stop on and egr block off and i havent gotten a check light. the car is an 05 mr with what i believe to be the stock turbo it has 10.5 hot side on the factory boost gauge i am seeing 1.5 bar at wot which is about 22psi so do you guys think the car has been tuned at all? im thinking yes but i cant say for certain as i am just getting into evos and dont know what the run factory and all that fun stuff.

stock boost is about 18 but with a straight exhaust and intake you will see boost into the low 20's. Not having a check engine light on means it must have p0420 disabled since you don't have a cat and the ecu isn't throwing a code for it. You need to pull the rom and check it to know for sure. I would say most likely yes. It is always best to get the car tuned soon after buying the car though unless they can provide paperwork that a legit tune has been done recently.

i had plans on getting it tuned asap just to take full advantage of the exhaust and intake just slowly gathering stuff for it trying to unload some srt4 stuff first haha. the kid i got the car off of new nothing and put a total of 600 miles on it from when he got it so im flying blind besides what i can obviously see

are you planning for more mods to the car?

if so, id add more parts to make the tune more worthwhile.

otherwise you tune it, its fine.

Then you get used to the power and find you will have to retune it again after you install some mods.

I plan on e85 and 450hp range but it's gonna take a little to get their money is tight. Their is a guy local to me who dose street tunes and is reputable for 60 an hour. I may do fuel pump and injectors before my initial tune though it just depends on how much Santa spendso on the kid haha
