New IAC - High Idle

Has anyone bought this new IAC?
Amazon.com: #B004 MD628318 AC571 99-05 Mitsubishi Chrysler Dodge IACV Idle Air Control Valve 99 00 01 02 03 04 05: Automotive Amazon.com: #B004 MD628318 AC571 99-05 Mitsubishi Chrysler Dodge IACV Idle Air Control Valve 99 00 01 02 03 04 05: Automotive
I've installed it and it's experiencing fairly high idle. It's averaging 1500rpm, sometimes it'll jump to 2000rpm.
I know that the ECU is suppose to relearn the idle, but is it supposed to take a while?

It's occasionally jumping around too.

That's normal. You need to find the person with evo scan to adjust that.i bought that part from ebay, installed it and went to the tuner.but I drove with high idle like for a couple of weeks lol.

Try disconnecting and re-connecting the battery, see if that changes anything.

That sensor does not look like an OEM part, it looks aftermarket. I would purchase a factory IAC sensor from Mitsubishi and install it, then re-evaluate and verify the repair.

it takes a while for it to adjust the idle but if it doesnt after a few hours of driving. I would adjust that little slider thing on the throttle body.

The sensor is exactly the same? Same part number and everything? I've had plenty of troubles fixing cars with cheap sensors, only to find out that a new OEM sensor fixes the issue. You should not need to adjust the screw on your throttle body, in order to cover the real issue.

There is a biss screw you can adjust on top of throttle body. You will need a stubby Phillips screw driver. Need to have vehicle running when you do it and you can slowly hear the idle drop. I had to do mine a few weeks ago.
