Every job usually requires you to bust at least one knuckle while trying to loosen Fill and Drain plugs

This thread is a painful reminder of my upper management. Might as well add a thread, Evo "Best Practices"

replace the timing belt tensioner on every belt job. Pulling or dropping the engine/trans by yourself can lead to a punctured a/c condensor. Keep your OEM parts, especially if you live in a state with strict smog laws. The exhaust valve seals tend to leak. Be very aware of how your evo sounds and behaves, if anything sounds or acts different do not ignore it.

I can line it up myself too, by simply installing the dowel pins

No dowel pins = weight savings and maximum adjustability.

Don't close your hand around a tool when breaking something loose. Orient yourself so you can push on the tool with an open palm/hand. This prevents you from accidentally punching things when the fastener breaks loose, or the tool slips lol

This is good advice! Also leverage is your friend. If your cranking on something so hard you cannot control what happens after it breaks, you need to think "Smarter not harder".

Basically how I started but leverage was tough with a driveway job , I smear a little dirt and grease in it and continue , busted knuckles happen all the time no matter the precaution

Jack handles make awesome breaker bars, if you have the room. Or I lock the box end of a large wrench onto the forked end of the one I'm using. If my impact doesn't fit, of course.
The struggle is real LOL
