Timing Question

I just rebuilt my motor and hitting a little low on compression on cylinder 1 and I vaguely remembered this happen to me in the past. Just wondering which cam to adjust. I think it was the intake retarded 1 tooth not 100% sure. I will eventually figure it out by adjusting and playing with timing. just seeing if anyone else had this happen and hoping to not spend all playing with timing tomorrow.

Compression low on only one cylinder does not point to a timing issue.

You dont adjust 1 tooth. You buy adjustable cam gears.
and letsgetthisdone is correct

adjustable cam gear will not work. with adjustable cam gear both gears would have to be adjusted. You can not only adjust one(the belt will not allow you to). Nice try on the ideal tho

You can most definitely adjust one adjustable cam gear since you're turning the inner part which is bolted to the cam independently of the outer part that touches the belt. What you just said would imply that the mivec on the Evo 9 wouldn't work, but, yea..

That would make fixing the timing a lot easier with adjustable gears. Dam I knew I should have bought adjustable gears
