4G63T vs 4G63

So I currently own a Evo X but want to buy a 4G63T engine block and rebuild the block and hopefully find a Evo 8 or 9 with a Blown engine and swap engines out and go from there. Looking for blocks online I've found some people refer to the block as 4G63T or 4G63 Im sure this is a stupid question but, Id prefer to have a better understanding of it. So are these blocks the same most blocks I am finding online are JDM so there a bit different from a USDM block I just want to make sure if I end up buying a JDM block that its going to be compatible with the USDM Evo 8/9. From what ive read the AWD systems a bit diffrent and requires the JDM tranny and t-case? USDM dont work. Also theres a 1G and a 2G alot of guys are saying its not an evo engine unless it is the 2G version. If someone is willing to give me a general idea of where to start I'd greatly appreciate it. Or if you guys know of any USDM blocks for sale let me know. Thanks

What do you hope to gain over finding an Evo 8/9 with a working USDM motor?

I'm hoping to get one for a cheaper price with a blown engine Evo 8/9s are hard to find in Canada and the ones for sale are usually modded pretty heavly on engine. With the dollar being bad still, buying a working US evo is pretty expensive vs one with a destroyed engine. Just trying to get an understanding on the 4g63t before I decide if it's worth doing or wait till the dollar comes closer to par in a year or two.

Probably don't have to worry about this with Evos as much, but in the Subaru world, I always recommend people buying a blown Subaru and just building it because it is going to blow up in a month.

FAR too many kids around here run their **** to the ground and sell it because they heard a noise.

It's good practice to build your own stuff too

in general the 2000 up jdm 4g63t will fit the evo 8/9.
the 4g63 non turbo was only made from 90-99. wont fit anyway.
fastest way to know is the 2000 up motors are on passenger (rh) side of compartment.
90-99 motors were on driver (lh) side. the two family of engines are like mirror images of each each other. only some internal parts swap. virtually no exterior engine parts are same.

I believe the Hyundai Sonata's engine had a 4G63 N/A, which seems to be exactly like the Evo block, minus the oil squirters. Does anyone know if the block can be used in an evo if I had the machine shop drilled for oil squirters? or are there any major difference?

I can't seem to find any definitive answers through search.
