Just got an 8 yesterday, and one of the things I want to fix ASAP is the HVAC. I know I can buy the revised gears and cable for the temperature control, but my vent position selection knob is also stuck. Is there anything I can do about this?

I have this issue also mine work on the of the 5 settings i fixed the left knob easy my cable came undone but i don't see anything on the vent position

 

They are both run by cable so take it apart and see of the cable is stuck or the actuator gear is stuck.

 

I can see that I definitely need a new cable, but obviously the cable bent for a reason. I'm assuming the actuator is stuck or damaged. Can I buy those parts like I can buy the temperature control parts?
