Why are you wanting to switch? FP came out and said themselves that you should run higher zink and phos with there turbos.

Are you just trying to save money?

From TJ @ WTF about T6 -

"Good ZDDP content compared to other off-the-shelf oils, great HTHS (which counters the BS you've been told or read that it's not suitable for high RPM use), excellent TBN, and excellent viscosity split.

T6 is all we use for regular oil changes at the shop. It's never failed me once... I've prescribed it for many track day cars and it performs great when scrutinized under UOA."

From @razorlab -

"I've been using it for years in all my cars and all my cars see Ethanol and the track"

I tend to believe the people who build and track this platform.

Gave fp a call and swear by the brad penn even though im not into the whole heavy oil on stock clearance engine. and as far as i see the t6 has good amount of zink and phos.. just want to know if its enough for me. was excellent on the sti on my track days and daily. i want to know if its the same on my evo with fp red turbo.

Very Nice i might go back to this t6. also heard the engines are more quiet and warm up quicker. will it be ok for the fp red turbo ?

Yes. And if you want to be sure, send a sample out for UOA after the first change on T6. (to blackstone or similar)

FP's oil requirement list was/is for the proprietary bearing design in their JB line of stock replacement turbos ONLY. Does not apply to their BB units per FP

If it is not on FP's oil list for their JB Turbos, they will not warranty the JB turbo for failures apparently.

There are many oils not on that list that would meet their Zinc/Phos requirement for these JB units being at ~1k which T6 meets. You would have to call FP on that one to see if they'll approve T6.
