hi, i have the full ets short route fmic kit with uicp & licp. i also have the mini battery and tray new in box but i wish to just run the ets licp and not use the mini battery nor the ets uicp. my question is, has anyone just installed the ets licp alone with the oem upper pipes? if so, does it align together fairly simple and clean?

Do the whole kit & get the full benefit of the short route pipe. I have had great performance from my Nisei short route & mini battery

 

Yes it will fit. The intercooler is mounted solid in place.

 

Yes it will work, but again, why not install everything? Are you worried about cold weather? My battery lasted almost 4 years and had no issues starting in 5* temps in the mountains.

 

The uicp serves very little gains, if any at all. The licp sees the most benefits. I also want to retain my full size batt due to the harsh north eastern winter

 

You may not see a large increase in power, but the extra 2' of piping that you get rid of will definitely help with spool up. Whatever floats your boat though.

 

Sell me mini battery and tray and pipe

 

$210 for batt and tray / $260 for ets short uicp. Everything is brand new & never installed, still in box and bubble wrap

 

I ran a mini battery during New England winters with no issues as long as the car is driven every day.

 

Not sure what your smog laws are, but an UICP is an easy fail in CA. The lower is much harder to see/tell if it's stock. In my opinion, minimal gains for a headache every two years.
