500 WHP Evo 8 to new Dodge Hellcat sedan?

Hello Guys,

I was wondering if anyone here in the Evo community has driven the Dodge Charger Hellcat sedan? I have seen them in the showroom and on the streets, but wanted to know what the experience is like from former or current Evo owners, thanks!

I may know someone who went up against one with an FP Green. The Hellcat didn't win...and it wasn't from a dig

Are you thinking about trading in the evo for one? You could always be the guinea pig for us and take one for a test drive.

I worked for a Dodge dealership for about 5 months. From my time there...I learned quickly that Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep products are littered with electrical nightmares among other things.

I love the look of the Charger Hellcat but the issues that plague many Dodge products....I will pass.

I've been thinking about it for some time, I like the fact that they are easy to mod and make easy power with with bolt ons and a tune, but if the handling sucks then I'll pass.

i work at a shop and have driven quite a few hellcats with the "red key". It pulled but surely didnt feel like it had 700hp (crank) lol. I know mopar cars are very heavy though. I must rather a c6 z06 or c7 zo6. overall drive feel so much more exciting to me.

You really going to trade in the Evo for a Fiat? I thought you were better than that. PS: I'm surprised and impressed that you really haven't changed your setup much since that day years ago at TTR!

it was ok but for sure i can tell you that car has to much power for the stock 275 tires lol.
lost traction quite often in the lower gears.

meh, the build quality sucks IMO and they're heavy as a tank. I had a buddy with an SRT-8 challenger for a bit and i wasnt impressed with it (i know its not the same car). I'd probably lean towards another sports sedan...something Japanese or European.

too funny... yep, powerwise my set up has basically remained the same since we met at TTR. I have changed rims on a few occasions, and have some mods that I am still sitting on waiting to be installed. (BR baffled oil pan, Cosworth crank scraper, Whiteline steering precision kit, Tanabe front sway bar, Tanabe rear lower control arm stabilizer bars)

I was attracted to the power potential of the Hellcat motor, but wasn't sure how it handled and felt around town.
