if the rolling diameters are different, you can burn up your center diff. It's recommended to never, ever change less than all four, unless you have the new ones shaved.

Alright, i guess I'm just gonna have to fork up for 4 new tires then. I was hoping to just buy two since I'm strapped for cash. Not really sure what caused the one tired to go bad. It's a shame since the other three are fairly new. Thanks again for the tips and suggestions, guys!

^this. If you are having issues with your tires wearing unevenly, I would bet that you need an alignment.

Or stop drifting the car.
Or stop road racing.

I assumed the road racing was out due to looking for a budget tire but yea both of those could also be the case lol

Oh, I know. Just pointing out sometimes we have uneven wear because we are .....um....."less than easy" on our tires.

You can buy 2 new tires as long as the size difference isn't over 5/32. I've done it many times and still on original drivetrain without any issues. But make sure the tire size are the same. I've also ran on the spare for like 3 days with highway miles while the rest of the tires were 18 inchers(didn't know about the whole tire size diff then and wouldn't do it now) and never had any issues.
