Hey everybody.

I am wondering how much Mpg ya'll get with your modifications.. I have basic mods on my car (exhaust, intake, tbe, tune, LICP) and im getting 11-13mpg city 17-20 Mpg highway... Does anyone know why my car has turned into a gas guzzling suburban? And how much Mpg are to you getting? Thanks.

My IX is setup similarly to yours. Less mods, but it doesn't really matter. I see ~16MPG in typical street driving - maybe 80% city and 20% highway. With the motor on the boil, I get ~8MPG. It's been like this for 11 years. I remember thinking, during breakin, how I could easily live with its 22MPG. IME, that only happens if you don't exceed 5,000RPM.

I average 17-18mpg, mixed driving. This includes lots of boosting. Has dropped a little since my Evo was brand new, but not by much. There was a point that I was barely seeing 210 miles per tank, but new injectors, pumps, and tune fixed that.

If you choose the option where it charts all of the fill-ups, you can see that I had back-to-back weekends that were both about that -- 31.89 mpg (3/29/2014) and 32.24 (4/05/2014). I remember when I got that first one, I was just trying to hit 31 mpg (since I had hit 30.40 mpg before), but when it came out to 31.89, I figured I'd try to break 32 the next time since I was so close.

From 2012 to 2014, I was making regular trips on the weekend to visit my mom since her health was declining, so doing the same drive so frequently (from Orange County to Ventura County and back), I would just test things out to see how much I could push it.

So those trips, the car would really only be on once, since I'd fill up before leaving then fill up right when I got off the freeway, so the car was never turned on again between fill-ups (since it was all on one drive). And I think I was only at one red light the whole time, and that was right when exiting. I planned it that way just to see if I could do it. So while I wasn't cheating -- tire pressures were normal, fill up procedure was the same as usual -- it's not indicative of "regular" highway drives. I think I stuck between 60-70 mph the whole time.

Also, I'd try to leave earlier in the morning when temperatures were cooler (just since it's a better condition in general, plus I wouldn't need the AC running). At the time I had the Hankook Ventus V12 Evos in stock size, and those tires were generally pretty light compared to the stock Advan A046s, Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs and Michelin Pilot Super Sports that I've also had (and didn't get quite as high of peak mileage with).

I would say I'm always at a gas station, never thought this car would get good gas mileage. Congrats on 32mpg..

I don't mind the expense; it's the frequent stops for fuel on long trips that sometimes bug me. Not that it happens all that often. Still, I'm driving out about 10 days from now in the Evo - ~250 miles. No way will we make there it on a single tank.
