Hi everyone. Ill keep this short and to the point.
A tree branch fell on my hood, bummer.. my insurance is sending me a check so its covered.
my question is, what would you guys recommend as far as a replacement?
i found one on ebay, same color, but im afraid of it arriving "damaged during shipment" and wasting money. I want to stick with oem because eveywhere i read says carbon hoods dont fit good and are way expensive and dont save weight.
Anyone been there done that?

Get a quote from your local Mitsubishi dealer for a new OEM hood, and a quote from a local paint shop for painting. Then request a check for those amounts from your insurance. Then try to find a good condition hood on Ebay. Profit.

 

Thanks ill try the dealer. Ive called a body shop a friend works at and hes working on a price. Insurance alloted just under 1300 just for the hood, we'll see what body shop says.
