Wouldn't adjusting the rebound/compression or dampening settings allow you to adjust to your comfort levels?

You've clearly never ridden in a car with Ohlins R/T's.

I had a set of Ohlin dampers on my Evo 4 and full Ohlins on evo IX. I could live with it but for my personal use a set of apexi n1 or bc are fine with me. I am not going to out race anyone on twisties.

If I were OP

FP HTA71 cold side 700.00
and a decent set of coilover for street track in the 1200 to 1500 range

Funny you mention other coilovers, just about nothing rides as well as Ohlins do for a street coilover. Certainly not apexi or BC.

had these sold them for 500 bucks

I dont road race. All I do is street race or drag race so im not the one to judge but I can say this hated the ride with these.

I ran BC coilovers on my 240sx and my a$$ literally fell off. They are not what I would call comfortable at all.

Lmao, you're stoned if you think the ride was that bad with those. They are literally a road/track coilover, not sold as a true racing part. They're only single adjustable. Ohlins has other options for actual racing dampers.

I had some on my Evo 4 and those were actually nice for road racing. I took them off eventually because they started to leak. With Advan048r .

My BC on WRX and Evo felt very good to me. They were soft compared to the RT.

Maybe i had full coilover they had adjustable settings and came with the Evo 9.

I had BCs for about a week... it was not that they were uncomfortable but were very inconsistent... after a few big bumps the car was all over the place..went back to stock billies.. Ohlins is far far better damper.. cant put the two in the same sentence..

I’d go Ohlins, but then I track my car occasionally

Öhlins has been the best mod I’ve done to my Evo.
The road and track versions are perfect for the road.

Why go for more power than you can physically use in the corners, that’s where the Ohlins shine.
