oil smells of gas
ok I always put fresh oil in before every track session but I notice when I get home the oil smells of petrol, it looks ok on the dip stick but I was wondering because this oil isn't cheap ok, do you think its ok to leave it in till the next track day before I change it, usually about 6 weeks. I only use it once ever couple of weeks on the weekend.

You have enough blowby through the piston rings that fuel vapor gets into oil. Do you have a good crankcase ventilation system? If not, make one to reduce the oil contamination.
Did you run engine with no boost for long cool down after track? With a good crankcase ventilation system, running long period with no boost will help oil evaporate fuel to reduce contamination.

A compression test is good. But a cylinder leak down test will tell you where your gasses are escaping to. It’s best to do both on a warm engine that way the piston rings are expanded and lubricated like they would be under driving situations. While performing the leak down test if you take off the oil fill cap and hear an air wooshing sound you know that your rings are bad.

Crankcase ventilation will help. Your car may make "only" 330whp, but that's almost 100hp more than stock. Add in hot lapping with a lot of WOT and high rpm and it just compounds it.
I know they're not "local" for you, but STM's sealed catch can is really the easy button option for a good catchcan/vent setup. You can order that, or copy it's design..

$450 seems steep at first, but the value is there with the parts it comes with.
