Evo 8 2.3 6262 misfire?

My car has what it seems to be is a misfire.

idle and little throttle seems to be fine but if I try to give it about 30% ish of throttle on highway to speed up or try to floor it, it sounds like a Subaru kinda and has a really bad stubble to it and also afr gauge goes lean

all I have done so far is check ignition coils with ohm resistance test while Cold , installed oem coils and still does the same. Check the gap on plus and they all are right around .018-.019

like I said idle is fine, I drove it a few weeks ago and didn’t seem to have this problem but it was breaking up some during WOT, but always cleared up

I plan on replacing spark plugs, and from what I’m reading a few people are getting a few different things from bad ignition coil, possibly clogged injector, possibly clogged fuel pump sock

Going lean under throttle would indicate a fuel flow issue. If you're running E85, clogged injectors is a safe bet.

I had a similar issue at one time and it was the exhaust cam position sensor. Give it a test and see. They ten to go bad sooner if you don't have a heat shield over them and you're running an aftermarket manifold.

Do a compression test to verify that your valves are seating completely.
