What are your Evo goals for 2023?

Happy New Year! What are your goals with your Evo for 2019? Horsepower, mods, wheels,ET ?

1) I'm planning on a few road course days.

2) May even a trip to the drag strip on Stickier tires.

3) May respray the roof/hood .

1. Get this transmission in.

2. Finish building my splitter.

3. Get some 18" wheels so I can swap on the Evo X brakes and move up to a 275 tire.

4. As many track days as possible, starting in June.

1. Remove short block while trans & tcase are still bolted to car and then sell short block to help fund number 2.
2. Finish converting Evo to Electric Motor
3. Register Evo as an Electric Car
4. JDM Rear Bumper
5. Varis style Rear Diffuser/Undertray

I’m pretty sure once all of the above is done, I’ll make up new list of mods to do. I dont think there is an end to this sickness.....

Make it run again.

Take it to the track, some autocross and drive it as much as possible as is and enjoy it. It's been down for far too long..

1. E85 tune at RRE on January 4th!

2. Start to autox since the road course is 5 hours away and tracking the car is getting expensive. Is autox fun? 20 minute lapping sessions is quite the adrenaline rush but idk about 1 minute runs in a parking lot haha.

3. Paint job? I'm a weekend warrior when it comes to detailing and this s****y paint drives me crazy!

Did you ever join us at the Fontana Roval? Spent 4 solid years tracking there (plenty of AX there as well w/SCCA & Speedventures)

It has already been done. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/pr...nnovation.html

Most of what I learned was watching his (Electronbom) building thread and obsessing over wanting to do the same. Its way too soon for me to even post anything as I probably wont have any useful updates for a long time. I’m still uninstalling and selling parts to help fund the conversion. As of now all I have are two electric motors I bought quickly after i stumbled on to a great deal to pass up.

AX is "okay" if you are into driving road courses. It's better than not driving at all and (along with my local mb2 facility) serves as a bit of a "fix" between track days.
For me, it's convenient (less than 10mins away), though our courses are super small (40ish seconds). Most places have larger courses ,so I could see it being more appealing.
At $60 per event, the cost:minute of seat time is terrible. But! At least I don't have to trailer!

Never made it to the Roval but I really want to. Been to Buttonwillow 4 or 5 times. Very fun track. I live in San Diego so it's a bit of a journey haha.

Yea I guess it'll be better than nothing. I used to do a lot of canyon runs but it's too dangerous. Once your driving skills improve and you push the car harder, the canyons are the wrong place to have an "oops" moment.
