Issue with my evo

so recently when I drive my evo (evo 8) and either get into high rpms or do highway driving in 5th gear, ny legs get REALLY warm and im not sure why. Another thing that might be related: when im parked in neutral, and push my clutch in there's no funky noise. But as soon as I let out (still in neutral) it starts doing like a soft clanking noise. It was suggested to me by a 60-70s classic restorer to be the throw out bearing. If anyone has any ideas please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your heater is on. TOBs don't usually "clank". You may want to peek inside the inspection area and see if anything looks odd.

That clutch noise in neutral is likely normal. I get the same w/my ACT clutch

An opening in the firewall, letting air in?

Could be blow by from heater is the recirculate button on or off and is your vent selection set to feet area

I always like to triple and even quadruple check, so I will sometime tomorrow. But I have this habit of leaving all my knobs facing straight up when I'm not running a/c (I hardly run a/c bc the tune doesn't like it for extended periods of time) i highly doubt the recirc button is on, but again, i will check. Thanks for the suggestions so far fellas!

Not sure if you realized, but every time you restart your car it starts out with the vent open. Or at least mine does, unless I have it on max AC . I assume you still have air conditioning and all that so there wouldn't be any empty spots in the firewall. But you never know.
