Evo 9 stalled when braking

Hi guys,
I just rebuilt and full tuned my evo 9
When I saw a red traffic light, I downshift or pull into neutral to brake, but when the rpm is lower than 1000, it would stall. Regardless of in low gear or neutral gear, as long as the brakes reach a stop, the engine may stall.

sometimes I hard brake and the speed around 30kmh it also stall even the car still running.

Engine RPM was around 800 and the all lights on the dash was on (sign of stalling) if i step accelerator a little bit the engine would turn to work from about stall.
sometimes the ECU would know the rpm is lower than idle rpm and it would top up the accelerator automatically but sometime it seems stupid it didn’t top up.
I tried upgraded my ECU, replacing new genuine ICV but it did not resolve.

Before I rebuilt and full tuned it there was no stall problem.

normal idle is 1300rpm. 288Kw atw.

Forged pistons and rods. Balance shaft removed. New throttle bod, head gasket.
Factory cams
fic 1050cc injectors, 455LPH fuel pump
ETS intake kit, link G4+ plug in ECU, link air and fuel sensors, lights fly wheel and HD clutch.

I guess the issue made since rebuilt not after tuned.

does anyone meet the issue like this?
Many thanks

I’ve had this issue. It can be from a few things, idle air control valve, cam position sensor, alternator or tune. Probably a few other things I’m missing too. But these should get you in the right ball park.

Why such a high idle with factory cams? Reason I ask is because if it wont idle at a more normal RPM with factory cams then you have an issue that is related to your problem going on.

Have you adjusted the BISS?

yea bro I asked the tuner, he just answered me that’s normal. I checked the dyno diagram, there’s almost no power make when below about 1800rpm.

That doesn't affect idle.

I’m not quite sure bro. just the tuner told me that’s ok. I just feel weird because the problem occurred after the engine rebuilt

That could be because none of the idle equipment (BISS, IACV) have been adjusted since putting it all together.

My latest issue with idle was solved by replacing the alternator. Low RPM may drop the voltage below a level that your ECU requires.
