Want a quieter exhaust so I'm planning on switching from what seems to be a full 3 inch catback to an RM-01A which I hear tapers to 2 1/4" by the resonators and muffler. Is a retune necessary? Thanks
As a side note, do you guys think the discoloration on the tip could be polished off?

I would keep the full 3" catback. Just add a vibrant quiet resonator and 1/4 wave resonator to tone down the in cabin drone/noise. You can have a muffler shop fab the 1/4 wave resonator for like $50 depending on the calculated length. It works.
