4g64 with evo 8 head timing help.

Hello everyone. I know this topic has been talked hundreds of times already but I really can't find short and simple answer. I am building 4g64 with evo 8 cylinder head. How do I set up timing. I will have adjustable cam gears.
1. Do I need 4g63 or 4g64 timing belt?
2. Do I need to retard or advance cam gears by 3.75 degree?
3. Which way is advance and which is retarded? (clockwise, counterclockwise) ?
4. Does anyone has picture how it is setup correctly?
Thanks in advance!!

Evo 9 Belt but if you're using the ER oil pump pulley you'll need the 64 belt.
You need 2 adjustable gears

This is what I did but I'm no expect on timing this combo as I only did 1, lol
  1. zero inner and outer rings on the cam gears
  2. set ever thing to OEM TDC timing marks
  3. put timing belt on
  4. loosen 3 or 5 lock bolts on the cam gears
  5. set timing tension
  6. this should move the outer cam rings.
  7. once the correct tension is set tighten cam gear locking bolts
  8. make sure it rotates correctly and smoothly.

since the deck height is taller on the 4g64. the evo 9 belt pulls the cams just a little to much counter clockwise...
therefore, you have to "clock" them back about 3 degrees (i think).

you really have to put a timing wheel on them to set them correctly.
