having trouble with my idle, just randomly started idling high after a drive
idles around 2-3k with surges up and down
cant find any vacuum leaks
replaced the idle air control valve and TPS with cheap ones off of ebay just to see if it would make a difference ( nothing changed)

It's usually a vacuum line. They may all look fine but one could still be bad. Especially if it stopped working after a drive. That's when one will pop off or develop a crack.

 

I had a surge and it was the aftermarket manifold pressure sensor. Good luck. I bought a used one off ebay for cheap and it worked. Also just spend the $400 on the oem air idle valve if thats it. the ebay ones didnt work for me.cant speak for the tps.
