CSF ultimate rad with fan thickness
Ok I should have listened to Letsgetthisdone years ago when I started this project. I wanna say sorry for not listening to him, but I was in a time crunch with getting this thing done for the shootout and it ended up not making it. So as many of you know my MIshimoto half rad is way to thick and will not allow me to run a fan on the inside of the engine bay.
So I was going through some of my old threads and he said something about the CSF rad. I thought about buying one a while ago, but thinking about it again I would need to know how thick a good cfm slim fan would be to compensate the room from the wastegate. So with that said does anyone have a full thickness with fan on one of these rads?
I can do the math but without having the car here its kinda tough to measure. I know the half rad is over 2" thick like 2.05 or something like that and it leaves like a 16th of an inch between the wastegate and the rad itself. The CSF rad is only 1 1/4 inches but what is the best slim fan to use that will be thin enough to get that clearance I need?
Thanks in advance

This is the problem I have. Sorry car was dirty in the middle of January lol. How thick is that shroud with fan? That is the thing I am concerned about. Look where the wastegate sits on a 2" thick rad.
Here is a better pic from the front.

7075 CSF Radiator is speced at 1.25 inches core thickness plus 2.44 inches for the SPAL 12" fan thickness. Giving you a thickness total of 3.69 inches. Height of the Fan is 13.19 inches and width is 12.56 inches. I can physically confirm this later as I have the radiator and fan combo. I am just reading the specs off the website for now. This radiator is manufactured in Indonesia.

That may be the best way to go about it. Idk theres not alot of room and just the fan itself is almost as thick as that whole area. I don't really wanna run a push fan but I think that will be the best thing to do. I finally got a half size forward facing ac condenser and I will put it on the passenger side and that will give me plenty of room for a fan. Idk how much room I will have with my new 5" thick fmic though. Idk thats for the shop to figure out.

Yeah I have the fan running all the time. But its a mishimoto fan and I have been told those are garbage so now the stock condenser is going to be out I have enough room to put a better fan in there.

Maybe get two 6" fans
