DBW from a 2005 CH Lancer

Hey all,

Wanting to know if anyone else has gone down the path of converting their Evo to DBW using the throttle and pedal from a 2005 CH lancer (G4+ PnP ECU). Am I correct to assume the signal wiring from the throttle body and pedal will be the same as the Evo 10 DBW gear? The CH Lancer is a 6pin connector on the throttle as well.
Is there anything else to look out for aside from the CH lancer pedal using an 8pin connector?
Also if its been covered before, could someone link me to that thread please.

Thanks

I have done this only with the G4X pnp ECU. Evo 10 pedal has been done allot so its easy to use because of all the information available. If you can share the partnumbers we can look if this will work. Most of the time is not that hard to make a different DBW setup work. The pedal consists of a 2x 5V 2x Sensor ground and a main voltage and one sub voltage, what those 2 extra wires on your pedal could be.. I don't know. The DBW 2x 12v from the H Bridge, 2x sensor ground and also a main and sub voltage.

Thanks for the reply, I ended up talking to a tech at haltec who emailed the pedal pin out for the ch lancer, pretty straight forward, just not using two of the eight pins in the connector. Another question I have which could be found in another thread is; am i able to splice the pedal and throttle wires together? Ive purchased a link XS loom which has 8 pin outs on it - and that connects on the ECU. Or do both the throttle loom and pedal looms need to be connected seperate from one another? See attachment, I have the link XS loom connected to the bottom of the two 8pin ports

The SUB and MAIN must be connected separately so: TPS SUB and MAIN and for the APP a SUB and MAIN. You will need 4 wires for both throttle body and pedal position voltages and 1 5V and 1 sensor ground that u can share. By the way, you can get the looms much cheaper. if you need some I can send you a link of that product.

Thanks for the reply, took a punt and splced the sensor grounds together along with the 5v+ (separately of course) and terminated the TPS, APS, motor + & - Havent tested it via pclink yet...hopefully its all fine 😅😅

It's not that hard, pretty straight forward. Calibrate the APP first and then the TPS. If you get some fault codes let me know, I can help. Goodluck

Thanks mate, sounds great. Had it connected today and managed to get a error 5: tps main movement zero
I think I may have terminated a pin in the TB connector in the wrong spot 😅 ill have a look at it tomorrow and check

I'm in the process of doing the exact same thing. Can you share the wiring diagram they sent you or you used to wire everything up? I'm stuck on the extra 2 pins on the pedal also
