EVO7 ECU in EVO4 now AYC light is on

EVO7 ECU in EVO4 now AYC light is on
It's now been way too long since I played with my EVO.
A few years back I upgraded the ECU in my EVO4 to an EVO7 and the car runs great. The problem I have is the AYC light is on and I can't communicate with the AYC ECU with Evoscan or by bridging the OBD2 plug pins 1 and 4 to read codes.
Have I missed something? Do I have to change anything to get the AYC ECU to talk to the EVO7 ECU? Is there a possible wiring connection or ECU problem?
Hoping it's been done before and some smart guy can advise me.
From all my reserch it seems the only connection between the ECU and AYC is the TPS so if the wiring is correct the issue is solved. Now to find out why the AYC isn't operating.
