I have roughly 23k on my EVO. I'd say I drive it slightly agressive, but not abusive (I always get 21-22mpg, mixed city and highway driving). Mine burns about a quart of oil between every oil change and I generally go 4000 miles between oil changes. I expressed a concern at the dealership with my first oil change when it was low, and they said it was normal.

Just checked my oil level yesterday. It appears I'm down a quart. I have 7k miles on it. Followed mitsu breakin procedures. This is the first time, that I've noticed it ever being low.

Sorry to hijack this post but I think everyone followed this type of break-in unless you got your car right off the truck. This is the reason why I hate buying a car that has already been test driven.

I test drive cars like I stole it!

I got mine with 7 miles on the odometer and had to fill 1/5 quart of oil after 3500 miles, before my first oil change.

I do burn off some oil, fairly minimal but still something to regularly double check for reassurance.

I picked mine up with 6 or 7 miles on it, broke it in by mfg rules, and do not burn a drop, 11,000 miles, and 1 winter I run it pretty hard and average 18 or 19 mpg - bone stock

Damn

I burn 2-3 quarts every 1500 to 2000 miles. I have a Vishnu Stage 1. I don't drive really that hard at all. I keep 3q in my truck just incase. kinda scares me a little.

i think its a generalization to say you burned no oil... every engine BURNS oil. even the best synthetic burns minimally....

I would run a nonsynthetic for a while. When I first got my car, it went through a couple quart of Mobil1 the first month or so. I guess that's what you get for doing the ExpressBreakIn (tm) at Summit Point.

After that, I started to use some 15w40 nonsynthetic and the car really likes it. Oil temps don't go above 90C on the track, so I'm going to leave it in there. Consumption's down, also.
