2Pc Shifter bushing C-Clamp issues

Anyone come up with a good way to get the C-Clamp fitted on the Reverse Gear Bushing? (This is the biggoer bushing underneath the small one.)

This C-Clamp is giving me major issues!!

Thanks.

Use a hammer.....seriously. Soft-face if you have one...worked for me.

Are you trying to push the old bushing out or the new one in? Metal or poly?

if it is too tight, try spreading it in a vice or with some pliers. spread it a tiny bit and i do mean a tiny because you dont want it to be loose. this is just a suggestion. i never had a problem with mine though. i did however have a problem getting the small bushing into the ring.

I may have figured it out. The C-Clamp that was sent with this bushing appears to be to small. The one on the smal bushing and this one are the same size. I guess this may explain why it is so difficult to get on. (I even tried greasing the thing up!!)

ops just read the above post. you probably did get the wrong one. I received the DSM kit on mine and was wondering why the reverse one was so small the forward gear bushing is the same on the dsm and the evo.
