and i was under the hood , just checkin things out, tryin to see where things go and are. I noticed the throttle cable is loose on this car. Now before this car i had a 00civic si and it was the same thing. I found out on overboost.com that you can actually tighten the throttle cable to get a better response from when you gas it. Anyone ever tighten their throttle cable up. I'm going to try out. It maked sense doesn't it?

 

I noticed the same thing. I have an 04 I just got less than a month ago, My background too was Hondas.
I took the slack out of the thottle cable and replaced the shifter bushing and the car is 100% better. I also did the JDM tail lights which I love.
I adjusted the thottle cable while it was running to make sure I didn't pull it too much and raise the idle.

 

Any good write up on taking the slack out? I have a feeling my new 04 has a little slack too...

Does anyone know how tight to make it (as in how long the deflection should be?)
