Instead of throwing parts at it why not practice some more? The Evo trans and clutch shift just fine after the transmission is warmed up. AWD cars are a little harder to shift smoothly. I scratch the 1/2 shift sometimes, but it's always because I'm not paying attention, try to hurry the shift, or get my timing wrong with clutch and shifter.
