Perhaps sales are down due to everyone waiting to get MRs. I've actually seen quite a few new EVOs driving around w/ dealer plates popping up in my area as of late.

 

I doubt it has to do with waiting for the MR. Look at the rest of their sales! EVERYTHING is down. WAY DOWN! This probably has everything to do with DC and bankruptcy.

yeah words get around. With the use 03 as an option the numbers are higher then I thought though.

 

look at the big picture, up till june they have already sold more EVO's than all of 2003, which was from march 03-december 03. so much for 5,000 EVO's, they only sold 2,048 in all of 2003 if i am reading this right, that is a limited production...

 

No, you are not reading the numbers correctly, 2,048 was the number sold last year between March and the end of April. For the first year Mar 03 to Feb 04 yes, they did sell approximately 5,000.

 

Quick question, how many evo's do they bring over every year? Like how many total 03 evo's were made?

 

Could it have anything to do with enthusiasts on the internet hearing about how poorly Mitsu corp is treating customers and the average enthusiast who autocrosses?

 

THose lying son of a ******..!!! I thought the EVO was supposed to be limited production car. 1500 was the limit right? Oh well...

 

They were supposed to ship around 6000 2003 models over, so it seems about right. And as for the warranty thing, Mitsubishi has been this way for as long as I can remember w/ DSMs. That is why I try to avoid going to the dealer for service whenever possible. This has forced me to learn a lot about working on cars on my own and w/ the help of Club DSM over the years.

 

6500 for '03 USDM. I assume some of those cars were diverted to other countries. I'm driving one of em.

 

i would be another sale if i could make the payments.
