any idea what my car is worth??

trying to get an idea what my car is worth, maybe u folks can help...
i have an evo 8, with a buschur stage 4 kit on pump gas, custom tune, super afc 2 for upgrades, a cusco twin disc carbon clutch, custom dash panel (the one sold by gruppe-s) with defi gauges, sts, pioneer dvd head unit, gps, boston coustics z6's, 2 -10" subs, jl power amps.....over 6k in a/v equipment. i realize i can put the stock stereo stuff back in. i also have the escort zr7 radar and laser detection and laser shifting system...
the car is very clean and has about 8500 miles on it. i have no probs with the car.

People need to remember that aftermarket modifications to a car are for personal enjoyment only, whether it be a speaker or a turbo. Your car is worth about 500 dollars more than a stock EVO 8 with 8500 miles.

why would you spend so much on the car and sell it in such a short time?

I think the mods may only help you out if you sell it to a fellow modder who knows what it is. But it's rule of thumb that mods will not get you much, if anything, when you sell it. If you really wanna be insulted, go try to trade it in.

to a non-car enthusiate, you may get 10% of what you spend on your mods.... to a car enthusiate, maybe you'll get 20-30%... dont expect to spend $10k on a car and sell it $10k over book-value.... you'll get maybe 4k over book if your lucky...

and dont bother trying to add labor as part of the value, most people will laugh at you... if i spend 7 hours preping, painting, installing my bumper or pay $250 for someone to do it.. thats irrelevant to your buyer.

i agree with most of the comments.....was hoping someone here had maybe sold an evo with similar mods recently and would share what they got for it.
as far as trading it in, ill just burn it or park it where it would get stolen or drive it off a cliff first...
like i said, was just trying to get an idea......i really like the lotus elise thats coming out though. was thinking of putting the car on ebay for a price that would make me happy and see what happens.
some people want to have all the mods already done. maybe they dont know much abt cars, or dont have access to good high performance shops, or dont want to wait months on end for backordered parts. its a hassle.
like i said, i like my car obviously, but might throw it out there and see what happens. worst case scenario is i keep my stage 4 evo 8....how bad is that??

I would consider trying to sell it on Ebay. I've seen a few other modded Evo's sell there. Too bad you wern't selling it 7 months ago

Unless eVo becomes the next Supra TT. Those cars stock with 80,000 could go for around $30 K, which is impossible, but since it's hot and they don't make them anymore, not even in Japan (unlike the RX-7), it's almost like a collectors item...

I do hope Mitsubishi go out of business and they stop making eVo's... then I could hang on to my car for 5 years and sell it for a lot of money. UMHAHAHAHA.
