people w/ test pipe -- oil change question

I have a turbo-back exhaust and need to get my oil changed. I have a test pipe and need to goto the dealership to get it changed. Will they void my warrenty when they see the test pipe or will they even care? Or should I goto a Jiffy Lube type of place this time?

Change the oil yourself. It's easy and take 10-15 minutes.

Do it yourself. Besides, its funner. Especially when you get that adrenaline rush from the thought that the car might come crashing down and smash your face. Or when you take out the plug and the oil might come splashing down ur arm and onto your shirt. jk. It's easy, just do it urself.

get one of these http://www.fumotovalve.com/ and changing your oil just becomes rediculous it's so easy, also get a good oil filter wrench, I picked up one that is like a big socket that fits over the filter, just hooks up to a 3/8's drive ratchet.

edit: here is the model # you will need F106 N(w/Nipple) , I opted for the one with the nipple so in case of minimal clearance I can just hook up a hose to the nipple and let it drain where ever I want it to.

My dealer told me it could be an issue. Mitsubishi encourages the dealer to make note of any mods in case there are any future warranty issues. I would just switch it out, takes about 10 minutes.

LOL, if you are going to the bother of putting the cat back on, why not just change your own oil? I'd much rather do an oil change than mess with exhaust parts.

Don't forget to document if you do end up changing it yourself. Also keep the receipts for the oil!

evaluate your service writer/rep - and go from there.

My dealership doesn't care one bit about all of my mods - I have had it in for various reasons other than oil changes. Who knows, maybe I am being foolish thinking they don't care

I just don't have the time or the tools right now to do it myself, so I will prolly take it to the dealership to get it done. We'll see what happens

I have the Pit Pass and take mine in all the time. I have the Perrin cat delete and no one said a thing about me not having a cat on it. I seen two techs pointing at it, but that was as far as it went.
