tail light bulb color
tail light bulb color
what color are the bulbs in the tail light (red). is it a white bulb shining out of a red casing or is it a red bulb shining out of a red casing? what is the code for this bulb and is it possible to get a red bulb to make it less pink looking.
in case anyone is wondering, i was concerned abou the bulb color because i don't want to pay for evo vii tails, i have a weightless white evo so the stock tails don't look bad it's just that they don't light up very red.
i got some red bulbs, acutally led replacement bulbs that draw a lot less current but light up much more red. if you guys want pics i guess i could compromise the shyness of my car and show you what the result looks like. from the directly behind the difference is only slightly noticable, from the side is where these really "shine" so to speak. it does sound really ricey but the improvement in looks just speaks for itself.
i got the bulb replacements from www.superbrightleds.com and the bulb codes are 7443 for the brakelight and 168 (194) for the tail light. (these numbers could be reversed but they are indeed in the manual as stated above, you need two of each bulb to complete the conversion.
if you don't wanna shell out too much for jdm tails and you have a weightless white evo this is another alternative!
