gave my evolution back.
The dealer would have lost more than than 2k. I bought a roll back in 1990. I paid 7k for an 11k vehicle with 46miles on it. Also, I did not have to pay the license and registration fees. doing some quick math with the 2k divided by $50 thats is 40 months. Using a more realistic dealer loss figure of 4k to 5k the dealer could have just paid the difference in interest as a lump sum, ie. bought down the loan. I think the gpm is about 6 to 8% so on 30K that is about $1,600 to $1,800. Using the lower figure against the 50$ for 80 payments add in the hypothetical 2k depreciation and you have the dealer breaking even. The dealer would not make the series of paymenats but would have to come up with significantly less (present worth of one per period) to buy down the loan from 4.9 to 1.9 and he/she doesn't have to find another buyer. It seems odd that the dealer would ever take back the car unless the buyer could not qualify for the loan.
financed the whole thing. yes, but that ONLY because of 1.9. why not save money this way and put the hard money i have in maybe a 2-3% account and make more money? as i sed i'd rather pay for an 05 with the 4.9, not the 04 because it's nearly a year old!!! but yeah i get how u guys think i'd be bsin or whatever, thigns r like these rarely happen. but hey i got a great deal personally. and no twinevo honestly no hard launches. THOUGH if i knew the dealer would do this then i wudda raped the car and given it back :> i wanted to break it in w/out having to break my bank cuz i'd be keepin ti for a while

If you go back to the same dealer that you "test drove" the first one from they will really screw you, good luck with whatever you do but you sound like an moron to me for giving the first one back.
basically, what i was going to say. Thanks for saving my finger strength.
Also, hard earned money. Does that mean you work at burger king? or you are just planning on nickle and diming your whole life? You could always put your 600 bucks in a 2-3% account next year. Afterall, you will only accumulate no more than 30 bucks on the 600.
man what's wrong with u people. u guys just think about one thing and that's the evolution. let people do whatever they want without puttin them down. **** get a freakin life if all ur gonna do is tell people thats the dumbets thing i've heard. it's MY life and it's MY car and no i dont work at BK. im 19 years old, so yeah money is a great deal. and no i'm not payin it formyself i'm "spoiled" as u guys would think. i got my dads support so yeah HE had the 1st say and this is what he watned. so yeah go ahead and put me down again cuz i had my dad help me buy the car. oh yeah btw i think ur a moron for thinkin i'd go back to the same dealer after he had the guts to call me and ask me to come visit him. RIGHT ON SIR!
hmm over $45 a month difference, maybe this guy is not really determined to get an evo afterall, or maybe the active diff is really THAT important to him? or maybe he's glad to get out of the whole deal cuz he realizes he couldnt afford to finance it anyways... thats the only logical explanation
*** people. r u guys smokign to much pot or sniffin coke. dont u read what i said. MY DAD is helping me. he OBVIOUSLY has money so that's not a problem. and yeah not determined? who the hell r u 2 say anything about how determined i am. y not use common sense and dont assume **** cuz thats not why these forums are here. it's 2 HELP people out. not to assume stuff rite. and dude 45$ isn't a HUGE amount but it is money, it'd help u guys buy sum bud or coke. damn

I would be wary about what ends up on your credit report and check on any other legal issues out there. As stated previously you did sign a contract to purchase the car and you did take delivery.... I dont think that you can just give it back?? Is there a lawyer in the house?
On the other hand, head to the used car dept and see if you can get yourself a killer deal on a "babied" EVO with 302 miles on the ticker.

OK, don't take it so personally.... Don't let other peoples opinions affect you that much. Calm down, take deep breaths, go to daddy and have him buy you another new car. Problem solved. It sounds like your a little materialistic and care more about the model year of your car than the concept of getting an evo for the best price. But since it's daddys money who cares. BTW who cares if your parents are paying for your car, saying stuff like that makes you sound cocky and like a D*ck. I just think that you have your priorities out of wack and from the sounds of it you got intimidated by the dealer. That's all I'm saying. I'm out of this conversation. Like i said before good luck with whatever you do and whatever car you get.
