Have P0300 problems? READ THIS! Need everyone's help!

I'm sure Mitsubishi will pay more attention to our problems if enough of us complain about it. I'm sure most of us have complained to the dealerships about this, but our voices are not being heard. In order to get our voices heard, i think some government intervention might help. I'm sure Mitsubishi will pay more attention to the government than us mortals. Please submit a complaint to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)-Office of Defects Investigation
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

If enough of us complain about this, we hopefully will get some attention in this matter.

Thanks for the site. Mitsubishi will also pay attention to a good Lawyer!

Bump, need more people to submit a claim form to the NHTSA...Please reply to this thread when you do to keep the thread alive...

Or Mitsubishi might just decide not to sell U.S. EVO

because of the legal expenses. As a current or prospective EVO owner, what's worse - Having the EVO or not? You've got to consider this before filing complaints against them.

You are why bad things are allowed to happen.

I don't think with us complaining about the P0300 will make Mitsu reconsider selling the Mitsu in the USA. I am just trying to resolve this annoying problem a lot of us are getting with the P0300 problem.

What is worse is having a EVO that you can not sell, or even drive. In california you will not be able to re-new the tags with a SES light. Even if you clear the light yourself the smog tech will go into the PCM history and pull the P0300. When the cars are not under Warranty and if there is still not a fix. This will be a serious problem. I do think that Mitsubishi is taking the P0300 problem seriously, I found out that My 04 RS was shipped back to Mitsubishi's national training center (in Japan?) and being dissected. to figure out (pinpoint) what is causing the vibration.
The 05 RS that I just bought, does not drone, or vibrate like the 04 , I am thinking that this is why they all came with the ACD drivetrain's. (just a theory)

I still get a P0300 on my 05 MR...

Kuba23 Jan 13, 2005 11:41 AM

People!! you should do a POLL on how many people get the po300 code with a MODDED EVO vs STOCK i never had problems with stock but as soon as i do one stupid little upgrade it started so either deal with it or KEEP IT STOCK . THATS why in europe they came out with FQ400 and 320 and so on , THOSE are REALLY EXPENSIVE REALLY FAST are under warranty, so either pay big money and have warranty or do some serious **** to your car suck it up OR live with STOCK and have no complaints. On the other hand if ur car is stock and something is wrong with it then you should complain but i know most people on this THREAD will complain one way or another and that will just lead to more problems .

Are you guys getting p0300 all live in California? Perhaps it's the crappy gas there or if your car is modded?

EVOTEXAS Jan 13, 2005 06:30 PM

I have it and I am in Texas.
