Why Are Our Evo's So Quiet From The Factory?
 

Ok, the Evo is a true performance car right? Other cars like the M3, Vette, STi, 350Z, all have an exaust note. Did mitsu know everyone(almost) were going to buy aftermarket exausts? :confused:

:confused: I'm glad we have a turbo because inline 4 sounds like sh*t.

Sti has the boxter rumble and other cars sounds good because they are Normally aspriated.

I perfer stock sound but most of us buy exhaust for performance.

the evo has a flapper in the muffler. you get a flapping exhaust note.
even when you buy an aftermarket exhaust its pretty quiet til you floor it. There are exceptions, certain exhausts are loud!!

bom's evo, what exhaust do you have?

Im not asking for fart can loud. Just a nice purrr.

My Greddy Titanium exhaust sounds great. Awesome throaty growl that only really gets looud loud after 6000 RPM.

Straight pipe 3'' with no cat... the car is so quiet.. then when I hit WOT its just so...sexy :D

Works exhaust has a very throaty sound, very nice, if that sort of thing appeals to you.
