:mad: Why cant the US government just let us have the fun we deserve and just let the Evo 7 in the US. what is wrong with having high powered cars. It is not like it is Japan's fault that american car companies cant make good cars. right now i am just waiting for the official release date so i can go and hopefully preorder a lancer if possible

Always the Government's fault, eh? Sorry, in this case it isn't. Many different reasons beside 'Government intervention,' i.e. market demands, importation costs, adaptability to NorthAm traffic systems. etc. etc. Plus, a governing body will never change the rules for ONE car. That wouldn't be fair, would it? What about the Skyline? STi? Clio V6? :updown:

Well.... if the US let us have all the forbidden fruits; Evo, Skyline, Supra, etc,. what happend to the Camaro, Mustang, and Viper ? We all know for example, that the 4G63 engine is capable and reliable up to 500hp or perhaps even more. Can you imagine the Skyline engine ?

It wont surprises me if SOON. One of us with a Evo 7, 800 hp engine, strip body, street able, dared to race and NHRA outlaw car in a drag strip.

The only American car that worries me [should Ford decide to bring it over] is the Ford Escord Cosworth. That thing is a brute. But that aint gonna happend.
