Starter F'd and leak in oil line
ok well after a NIGHTMARE of a transfer case job, i was putting things back together and i hooked up my battery and forgot it was hooked up, well putting my down pipe up to my exhaust, the flange of my downpipe tapped the starter as the other side of the flange was touching this line that has oil in it that is bolted to the side of the oilpan and goes on up (im guessing this is the line that feeds oil to the turbo?). Well it sparked twice and oil started leaking outta that oil feed line. Now that line is dripping oil nonstop so i have to replace that from Mitsu( anyone know how much its gonna be or if anyone has 1 for sale?) and also wondering is my starter done for? it sparked cuz of the starter which caused that line to have a hole in it and leak out my oil. thanks

If it's the line from the bottom of the turbo to the oil pan, that's your oil return line. It's about 1/2 inch diameter, aluminum, with a funky flex section?
Sorry for the bad luck. I can only guess that from the dealer it'll cost $50-$75. |
If you're going to replace the turbo oil return line, you might as well get one of these:

for the link u posted, which 1 would i be choosing? they seem to have t3/t4 etc...im on stock turbo, which 1 of those would bolt up to the stock 16G?
