My cars RPM's Drop when......

I started another thred but got sick of writing bump so i made this new one please some one give me an opinion to what it is i have already had one person say that it was my clutch but before i go out and buy a new clutch i want to make sure that is what it is heres whats goin on-

I have no idea what is going on with my car this started to happen yesterday on my way home from work i out the car in second and the put the gas pedel to the floor the RPM's went up to around 5 paused for a second dropped to about 4800 then continued to climb. I then tried it in every other gear and it does the same thing. Has any one ever had this problem and what is it? How do I fix it? I was thinking it could be the spark plugs

is it quickly going up to 5k rpm, almost as if you have the clutch petal depressed, then slowing down as if the clutch is grabbing? It could be your clutch slipping if this is the case.

yes it goes to 5k normal but then slows down hesitates then goes back to normal. if it is my clutch can i fix it or can i just get on of those ACT ones for like $500 or do i have to get a full For like 1200?

clutch might be sliping

do you have ur ac on?

when the rpms rise does your speed?

if your speed does not increas with the rpm rise its ur clutch end of storie.

I was told to go WOT in 4th gear, if it slips, its the clutch.

Have you ever launched your car or even thought about launching it, even one single time? If so it's probably the clutch.

In all of our opinions: "Your clutch is going out!" Just like having a loose converter in a auto car, when they rpms raise much higher than they should and then suddenly back down your clutch/converter is going out. Also you clutch doesnt have to be depressed for it not to grab, it's the medium between the engine and the tranny.
