Cracked Recaros
 

Hey I just noticed the other day while cleaning out my Evo that my front drivers side seat is craking in the back. The crack is just along the crest where the vent is at on the top where the plastic is. I have no idea how it happend. I only weight 125 lbs so I'm pretty sure it cant be me. I also have a friend with an Evo and his had the same crack also, but he said his was'nt as bad as mine. Has anyone else had this? And will warranty cover it?

bring it to the dealer and ask for warranty :)

never heard of the evo seats cracking , but it wouldnt surprise me. what year is your friends evo?

Its an 04 just like mine.

this is a very big problem. I had an 03 and mine cracked. I think if you search you will find a lot of people having this problem

O wow I did do a search, but I did'nt come up with anything. What did you do? Did mitsu replace it under warranty?

my seats, crackling, not cracking.

it sounds odd.

clutch is a very big problem, cause lots of people complain
if not much in the search for cracking seats , then not a very big problem

I call it the atm surcharge. It happens when you go for your wallet and you lean back real hard on the seat. Mitsu will warranty it as it happens to a lot of evos.

bring it back to the dealer, it should be covered under warranty.

I think the EVO's recaros are a cheap knock-off of the real recaros available aftermarket, since these aftermarket recaros don't seem to have a cracking/breaking problem with the seatbacks/sidesupports/etc...I know my aftermarkets don't.

EVOs got the CHEAPEST RECAROS like 500 a seat. Good Recaros are like 1-2Grand EACH! Plus there are a lot of people that are having that problem. You cant push a lot of pressure on the backs of them seats they break like pieces of SHYT!

cracked recaro > sti seats

yah mine does the same thing during sudden movement, like when u brake fast or something. sounds like platic moving or something
